Briggs Memorial was organized in the spring of 1954. The congregation's first meetings were held in the home of the first Pastor, Reverend Charles May. Also in 1954, a small church building was built on land donated by Mr. Samuel K. Briggs. This first church and later our current building were named in recognition of Mr. Briggs' generous gift.
In 1966. Pastor May retired and Marion Bullock became the second pastor of Briggs Memorial. The church continued to grow and in the early 1970's, the chruch purchased several acres of land. On January 2, 1972, the congregation moved into our present facility. Marion Bullock served the congregation until his retirement in 1989. Steve Ferguson and Reverend Eddie Ledford pastored Briggs Memorial from 1990 to 1997. Then on April 20, 1997 Dr. Timothy Anderson became the pastor and faithfully served our church for over 10 years. In January of 2009 Jeff Midkiff was voted in as the pastor of our wonderful church.
Since 1997, the education wing has been remodeled and a drive-thru has been added to the church. Our Bus Ministry is growing. The future is bright and unlimited as we follow the Lord's leading. To God be the glory, great things he hath done!"
